The Music Entrepreneurship and Popular Practice initiative is an innovative programme featuring workshops, certificate courses and 6-credit courses, designed to equip students with the creative, strategic, and commercial skills to thrive in the contemporary music industry. Combining academic rigor with real-world expertise, this initiative offers a unique blend of theoretical knowledge and practical experience, as students develop, produce, and commercialize their own music projects. Students take interdisciplinary courses co-taught by leading industry professionals, gaining insights into both creative production and the strategic realities of the global music business. Students participate in studio sessions where they create original tracks, and work with professional producers, sound engineers, and industry mentors. Students learn about commercializing their work—from branding and digital release strategies to securing distribution deals and identifying opportunities for licensing and performance.
