The University of Hong Kong celebrated Alumni Day on 14 March 2026 with campus-wide activities hosted by different departments and organisations. The Faculty of Arts hosted two special events to re-connect with its alumni: the Faculty of Arts booth on University Street, along with a Black Box Open House co-organised with the School of English.
The Arts booth received an enthusiastic turnout from HKU alumni and their family and friends. Alumni participated in the Lucky Draw to win exclusive Arts souvenirs while reminiscing about their days at HKU.
Meanwhile at the Black Box, members of the Faculty of Arts and the School of English hosted an Open House and two Theatre Masterclasses with Dr. Kristen Murray, Lecturer in the School of English. An audience of alumni watched an open rehearsal showing how they interpret Shakespeare, perform stage directions, and bring a story to life. Clips of previous performances at the Black Box were also showcased, highlighting the skill and creativity of past School of English students. The Faculty of Arts would like to sincerely thank Dr. Murray for her organisational efforts of this Open House, and our alumni for coming in as well.
