The Faculty of Arts is one of the flagship faculties of the University of Hong Kong (HKU) and is an internationally renowned and leading humanities faculty.

HKU ranked 29th in the world in Arts and Humanities in the Times Higher Education (THE) World University Subject Rankings 2019, one of the only 3 Asian Universities to have made it into the top 30 in this year's exercise which ranked 500 universities worldwide. 

The University’s overall ranking in the Arts & Humanities is 18th in the latest QS World University Subject Rankings in 2018.  The Faculty made the global top 30 in three subjects: Linguistics (11th), Modern Languages (16th), and English Language & Literature (22nd).  The Faculty of Arts’ presence amongst the best institutions in the world is evidence of its exceptional record in teaching and research.
