Run Run Shaw Scholarships
Background:
In 2014, in recognition of the generous support from the Shaw Foundation, the Faculty of Arts established a scholarship fund in memory of the late Dr the Honourable Run Run Shaw, providing long-term funding for Arts student exchange and enrichment purposes.
Eligibility:
Non-final year BA students who will be participating in a full-year exchange programme under the HKU Worldwide Exchange Programme or Faculty of Arts Exchange Programme.
Selection Criteria:
The Scholarships shall be awarded based primarily on academic merit (CGPA 3.20 or above) and secondly on financial need, in particular to support students who are academically qualified to go on exchange but would not be able to take up the opportunity because of financial reasons. Provided students are equally academically qualified, preference shall be given to those who are in financial need.
Scholarship Amount:
HK$40,000
Remarks:
The Scholarship cannot be held concurrently with other enrichment scholarships administered under the HKU Worldwide Exchange Programme.
