All workshops are available for application on a rolling basis from January 11, 2021. All applications should be completed online via the HKU online application link.

Please settle the programme fee payment and student visa (applicable for face-to-face courses only) within 1 week after the result announcement

Application Procedures

  • Read the workshop information and specific requirements.
  • Ensure that you have fulfilled the entrance requirements of Advanced Global Creative Industries Workshops Series.

  • Complete the online application form and upload all the requested supporting documents.
  • Follow the payment instructions given to pay the non-refundable application fee online.

‚Äč* Application will be processed only when ALL supporting documents and the application fee reach our office before the deadline.

* Once the application has been submitted, amendments are NOT allowed. Please contact us if you wish to make changes to your personal particulars after submission of application. Applicants are strongly advised to check their details carefully before submitting the application and keep a record of their submission.

  • Confirm the offer by replying the email when you receive the acceptance notice.
  • Settle the payment of programme fee online.

Rolling Admission

Your application will be reviewed as soon as you submit the application and materials. Admission result will be announced on a rolling basis, subject to the decision of offering units.The earlier you apply, the greater chance for securing a place in the workshop.

Application Materials

An applicant should submit a complete application online, please check the workshop details for specific requirements. Please prepare the following documents before you proceed with the online application.

Education and Qualification

Photocopies of certificates and academic transcripts of your highest education

  • If these are not in English, they must be accompanied by a translation in English
  • The documents should indicate: full name of school, full name of student and grading system/scale
Additional Supporting Documents Additional documents as required by individual programme(s) e.g. recommendation letter from home institution, personal statement and short essay.


  1. Please indicate the types of supporting documents and your full name when uploading the files to our online application system. (e.g. Passport WONG Siu Ming Chris). File name must be in English.
  2. Maximum upload size for each file is 25MB.
  3. Please do not send any original documents to the Faculty by post.
  4. Application will be processed only when ALL supporting documents are uploaded to the online application system before the deadline.
  5. HKU Summer Institute in the Arts & Humanities reserves the right to cancel a programme should there be insufficient enrolment or any unforeseen circumstances. Workshop dates, content and fee are subject to change without prior notice. Students should pay attention to the workshop website and email notification for any updates.
