Faculty-level Outgoing Exchange

List of Host Institutions for 2019-20 (2nd round)

Applicants should do some research and take the following points into consideration when choosing host institutions:

  • CGPA requirement
  • Restrictions on major and year of study
  • Courses offered – credit transfer subject to approval by your faculty
  • English/ other language requirement(s) - which could be higher than IAO's requirements
    (Note: Some institutions may have higher requirements.)
  • Medium of instruction at the institution and language use in the country
  • Academic calendar – whether there will be any clash of semesters

- Achieved at least Grade B or above in intended/declared major(s), and Grade B- or above in all courses taken 
Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona (Spain) Spanish proficiency of B2 is recommended
Universidad Autónoma de Madrid (Spain) Spanish proficiency of B1 is required
National Chiao Tung University (Taiwan) - CGPA 3.0 or above;
- IELTS 6.5 or above
Leiden University (The Netherlands) - CGPA 3.0 or above;
- IELTS 6.5 or above;
- Year 3 or above during exchange studies
University of Kent (UK) - CGPA 3.0 or above;
- IELTS 6.5 or above, with at least 6.0 in Reading and Writing. and at least 5.5 in Listening and Speaking
Emerson College (USA) - IELTS 6.5 or above;
- Recommended for students interested in creative writing
Yonsei University (Republic of Korea) -
University College Utrecht (The Netherlands) - CGPA 3.0 or above;
- IELTS 7.0 or above, with no band below 7.0 

*Note : Students are recommended to take Japanese culture courses rather than Japanese language courses there.
