Rising Above: The Kinsey African American Art and History Collection, an exhibition co-organized by the Faculty of Arts and the University Museum and Art Gallery of the University of Hong Kong was recently covered by Sunday Mingpao.

鎂光燈下發黃的紙，無言訴說數百年前的黑暗歷史。

美國一八○一年的人口紀錄中，奴隸只計「五分三」個人。

「為何特朗普會當選總統？他得的普選票較少，卻贏了選舉人票。選舉人票制正是來自五分三協議（Three-Fifths Compromise），奴隸計『五分三』個人，以計算各州人口，決定其在首都有多少人代表。」Bernard Kinsey說。

他來自美國非裔望族，花四十年收集美國黑人歷史物件、藝術品，最近帶了其中百多件藏品到港大展出，由手寫信到官方紀錄、廣告、首版書籍、油畫都有。

「非裔美國人一直被視而不見，我們希望將其成就、經歷，放回主流故事中。我們不多加描述，讓原始資料自己說故事。」

歷史，其實就是人的故事。
