Critical Thinking
  • Apply basic critical thinking skills to daily life situations.
  • Learn the importance of critical analysis and careful thinking in university education and lifelong learning.
  • The course consists of four modules: meaning analysis, argument analysis, scientific reasoning and fallacies and biases.

In Translation

In Translation: English & Chinese

  • Discover what it takes to translate from one language to another while accurately conveying the meaning of a text.
  • A high level of comprehension of Cantonese and competent level of English are required for this course.
  • Examine translation in the context of popular culture-movies, drama, music and fiction.

Public Speaking Workshop
  • Become more fluent and comfortable in spoken English.
  • Build self-confidence in public speaking.
  • Improve your communication skills in a fun and engaging manner.

This is a highly interactive and stimulating course taught by an experienced native English speaking Eduarts instructor with a degree in Drama or Applied Theatre and Education, and is devised by renowned drama educator and Hong Kong University Artist, Dr. Vicki Ooi.

Both Creative Writing Workshop 1 and Creative Writing Workshop 2 courses are suitable for all levels, including beginners.  Students who wish to continue in creative writing after completion of CWW1 (or other creative writing courses and workshops) may enroll in CWW2 for deeper involvement in creative writing exchanges.
