• Endowed Professorships & Visiting Professorships
- An “Endowed Professorship” is one of the most significant awards bestowed upon eminent academics normally within the University in support of their academic and research activities. A Visiting Professorship enables us to invite world-renowned scholars to the Faculty to teach and ensures that students can learn from these top scholars from generation to generation.
• Student Experiential Learning Support
- The Faculty relies on your gift to support Arts students to travel outside Hong Kong for a structured learning experience, with a view to widening their horizons and broadening their minds including activities such as academic exchange, study tours, and internships, etc.
• Prizes and Scholarships
- Your donation can be designated to set up academic prizes and scholarships, which recognise the achievement of students who have excellent performance within the Faculty.
• Teaching and Research Grants
- Your gift provides financial support for teaching and research activities covering all of our Humanities and Arts disciplines within the Faculty. The funding can be designated to support fellowships, conferences, book publications, and knowledge exchange projects, etc.
• Lecture / Event / Exhibition Sponsorship
- Your sponsorship is essential for the Faculty to bring high-profile speakers in the field of arts and humanities, or to bring artists, performers and art masterpieces here from other parts of the world which have never been in Hong Kong, and enables the Faculty to deliver high-quality education and public programming to HKU and the community.
The Faculty of Arts provides opportunities for named donations, such as the official naming of event series, prizes, scholarships, funds, and Endowed Professorships, etc.
